芳草地画廊荣幸地宣布《人间童话——华庆个展》将于2019年7月28日（周日）在北京侨福芳草地开幕。此次展览为艺术家在芳草地画廊的第二次个展。不同于以往，此次展览不仅对过往经典代表作品的再次呈现，还特别总结和梳理了艺术家近几年创作的最新作品，涵盖了绘画、雕塑、装置以及首次公开展出的艺术家创作手稿。时隔三年，华庆带来最新的作品，不同的作品、时间、空间，以及不同新的展览主题及耳目一新布展概念，但不变的是多年来艺术家对艺术、对生活、对世界上爱的追求与传递，以及艺术家倾其一生所创造的美好的艺术“童话世界”。
Parkview Green Art is pleased to announce the opening of the contemporary art exhibition Fairytale on Earth - Hua Qing Solo Exhibition on Sunday, July 28th, at Parkview Green FangCaoDi, Beijing. This exhibition is the artist's second solo show at Parkview Green Art. With a different approach in comparison with the one previously held, this exhibition not only presents representative works of Hua Qing's artistic practice from the past, it also includes the latest works created by the artist in recent years, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and artist's manuscripts presented to the public for the first time. After three years, Hua Qing brings his latest works within a new conceptual framework and he presents them in a new time-space context and in a new exhibition concept. What remains unchanged is the artist's pursuit and passion for art, life and the world and his fascination for a “fairytale universe”, which is a central topic in his artistic creations.
作为一名六十年代出生的艺术家，华庆是中国当代艺术发展的见证者和开创者之一，早期圆明园画家村的生活，南斯拉夫内战的经历，以及二十年的海外游历和生活经验，使华庆越来越对艺术有了自己清晰地认识和理解：他认为这个世界非常不完美，荒诞不经，但愿意把这个世界用更高纬度的视角看成一个芸芸众生的童话世界，从而让自己单纯些、善意些。所以，艺术家应该用自己的真诚，反思人类现存的文明、科学、宗教等等。用最直接最原始的思维和与之相应的形式，展现对过去、现在和未来的悲天悯人，也正因为如此，华庆通过接近可爱的、夸张的、幽默风趣的表达方式，将自己眼中的“童话世界”描绘出来。
Born in the 1960s, Hua Qing is one of the artists who witnessed and contributed to the development of Chinese contemporary art. Thanks to his participation to the Artists Village of the Old Summer Palace in the early days, to the experience of the civil war in Yugoslavia, to his travels and life oversea for more than two-decades, Hua Qing has gained a deep knowledge and understanding of art: he thinks that the world is not perfect, on the contrary it can be absurd. However, he likes the idea of imagining a fairytales dimension to look at the world from a higher perspective. This enables him to be pure and kind. Therefore, artists should reflect on the existing human civilization, science and religion. They should express compassion for the past, present, and future with a direct and pure intellectual approach in order to find the corresponding forms to express their ideas. This is why when Hua Qing describes the “fairytale world”; he tends to associate it with the concepts of loveliness, exaggeration and humor.
不同于以往，此次展览将分别于三个不同的空间展示。除了画廊内的主展区之外，我们还将展览扩展到了商场公共空间，以及北京怡亨酒店19层的公共区域。展示空间的转变，实际上也是对传统艺术认知方式的转换、扩充以及延伸。
This exhibition will be displayed in three different spaces. In addition to the main exhibition space of the gallery, the exhibition will be extended to the shopping mall and the public area on Floor 19 of the Hotel Éclat Beijing. In fact, the spatial transformation metaphorically reflects also the transformation and extension of the cognitive sphere of traditional art.

伴随着85美术新潮，毕业之初的华庆开始积极参与各种各样的先锋艺术活动，入住北大西门的民房自由创作，之后成为第一批进驻圆明园画家村的个体艺术工作者。1987年他去了欧洲，在以前南斯拉夫为基地的整个九十年代，他游历和观摩欧洲的各种艺术博物馆和画廊，分析和鉴别着各种西方艺术主张和思潮，思考着自己的艺术方向。1999年，他在台北生活、创作了六年时间，2006年华庆归去来兮，在北京建立了工作室，并通过一系列重要的展览，重返国内当代艺术的阵营。
Following the transformation of the 1985 New Wave art movement, Hua Qing actively participated in various avant-garde art activities. He lived in a private house located in the West Gate of Peking University and started working as an independent artist. He then became one of the first artists to enter the Yuanmingyuan Village. In 1987, he moved to Europe. During the 1990s, when he was based in the former Yugoslavia, he traveled a lot and he had the chance to get to know about art museums and galleries in Europe. He analyzed and explored Western artistic concepts and ideas and he started developing his artistic praxis. In 1999, he moved to Taipei, where he lived and worked for six years. In 2006, Hua Qing came back to China and established a studio in Beijing: he was back to Chinese contemporary art arena.
30多年的艺术生涯，华庆曾在亚洲、欧洲和北美举办过近30个个展，参与过200多个联展，推介机构包括国际知名的双年展和美术馆；其独树一帜的类人猿作品广被重要私人和艺术机构收藏。
With more than 30 years of artistic career, Hua Qing has held nearly 30 solo exhibitions in Asia, Europe and North America. He has participated to more than 200 group exhibitions in internationally renowned biennales and art galleries. His iconic works are widely known and collected by private collectors as well as by art institutions.
