深圳“国际朋友圈”亮点：超半数友城来自APEC经济体

6月10日，深圳市与新西兰克赖斯特彻奇市建立友好城市关系协议书正式签署，两市关系从友好交流城市正式升级为友好城市。“我们的合作迈上新台阶。”克赖斯特彻奇市市长菲尔·梅杰希望两城携手取得更多互惠互利新成果，实现共同繁荣发展。

今年11月，亚太经合组织（APEC）第三十三次领导人非正式会议将在深圳举行。作为中国坚定不移奉行互利共赢开放战略的重要窗口，深圳正持续扩大高水平对外开放。其中，国际友城是深圳开展对外交往的重要资源渠道。

“十四五”期间，深圳与莫斯科、维也纳、旧金山、阿布扎比等7个城市建立了友好交流城市关系，国际友城数量拓展至95个，其中超半数来自APEC经济体。

友城赋能 深化经贸合作

5月27日，2026年深圳市宝安区企业出海对接活动——德国纽伦堡专场在深举行。观看机器人“翻跟头”表演后，纽伦堡市市长马库斯·柯尼希向企业现场发出邀请：“明年6月，机器人足球世界杯将在纽伦堡举行，欢迎你们来参与。”该活动吸引中德政商界150余人参加，双方围绕人工智能、机器人、企业出海、产业合作等议题展开对接。

纽伦堡是最早和深圳建立友城关系的欧洲城市之一，友城关系已持续近30年，双方在产业交流、经贸合作、人才互通等领域开展了长期且丰富的务实合作。马库斯·柯尼希说，希望进一步加强科技创新、文体旅游等领域交流，积极拓展人工智能、机器人等新兴领域合作，推动两地共同繁荣发展，共建更加美好的世界。

友城交往为经贸合作架起桥梁。深圳通过友城积极引进国际经贸交流机构，推动德国巴伐利亚州中国代表处、加拿大魁北克政府驻深商务办公室等经贸代表机构在深落户。相继与美国休斯敦、阿联酋迪拜、西班牙巴塞罗那、巴西里约热内卢等地举办多场经贸与投资合作交流会。推动中国—越南（深圳—海防）经济贸易合作区高质量发展，该区是深圳首个境外经贸合作区，目前已成为深圳企业联通越南乃至东南亚市场的重要平台。

人文为媒 厚植友好根基

2025年12月16日至2026年1月4日，深圳原创舞剧《咏春》在加拿大多伦多梅里迪安中心成功完成20场驻场演出。2026年恰逢深圳与多伦多缔结友好交流关系10周年，《咏春》远渡重洋亮相多伦多，也成为友城10周年的一份文化厚礼。

以人文为媒介，深圳在友城交往中搭建起民心相通的纽带。

2024年5月，深圳市与旧金山市签署《友好交流合作备忘录》。一年后，深圳市和旧金山市政府共同组织的“遇见湾区”中美青年创新探索交流营在深圳举行，旧金山湾区青少年走进多所学校和中国学生深入交流。“他们彼此之间很容易找到相同的兴趣爱好，我能看到他们之间的联系在加强。”带队老师泰勒感慨。

2025年，深圳市国际交流合作基金会携手深圳本土企业，在深圳友城多哥共和国首都洛美落地Green Tech Box国际公益项目，向洛美大学捐赠集成光伏设备的装配式折叠房屋科技教室及一批智能教学设备。项目还依托配套课程与专项培训，将深圳绿色发展理念和创新实践传递给当地青年，帮助其提升专业技能。

城区助力 拓展国际“朋友圈”

近日，深圳福田区意大利友城公园、加拿大友城公园完成提质改造并正式开放，把异域风情悄悄种进了街角绿地。其中，意大利友城公园是福田区与意大利普利亚大区跨越多年友谊的具象载体，精准复刻意大利传统花园风貌；依托福田区与加拿大奥克维尔市友城合作关系，加拿大友城公园以“橡树之城”为特色精准还原了北美自然风貌。

今年以来，福田区与阿联酋阿布扎比金融自由区（ADGM）建立友好交流合作关系，盐田区与巴西联邦共和国桑托斯市建立友好交流合作关系，龙华区与马来西亚吉打州缔结友好交流城区……多个区通过友好交流城区进一步拓展国际“朋友圈”。

友好城区合作结出愈发丰硕的果实：南山区与美国华盛顿州塔科马市举办友城人文交流活动，通过沉浸式文化体验、科技互动展示和体育交流拉近两地距离；马来西亚吉打州大湾区投资合作办公室落地深圳（龙华）国际合作中心；光明区与明斯克国立语言大学签订青年互访合作备忘录，就青年交流达成合作共识。各具特色、互补共赢的交流合作，不断拓展经贸合作空间，厚植民间友好根基。

Half of Shenzhen’s city-to-city ties are with APEC economies

Shenzhen and Christchurch, New Zealand, signed an agreement on June 10 to establish a sister-city relationship, elevating ties from the friendship and exchange partnership formed in 2015.

“Our cooperation has reached a new level,” Christchurch Mayor Phil Mauger said, expressing hope for greater cooperation and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Shenzhen is deepening international engagement through its network of sister cities and friendship and exchange cities, reflecting China’s commitment to mutually beneficial opening-up.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Shenzhen established friendship and exchange ties with seven overseas cities, including Moscow, Vienna, San Francisco and Abu Dhabi. It now maintains sister-city and friendship-and-exchange ties with 95 cities worldwide, more than half of them in APEC economies.

On May 27, a business matchmaking event hosted by Bao’an District drew more than 150 Chinese and German representatives for talks on AI, robotics and industrial cooperation. After watching a robot perform a somersault, Nuremberg Mayor Marcus König invited attendees to RoboCup 2027, which will be held in Nuremberg next June.

Nuremberg was among the first European cities to establish sister-city ties with Shenzhen, nearly three decades ago. The two cities have since cooperated in industry, trade and talent exchange. König called for stronger collaboration in AI, robotics, culture, tourism and sports.

Sister-city ties have also boosted economic cooperation. Shenzhen has attracted international exchange institutions, including the China Representative Office of Bavaria, Germany, and the Quebec Government Commercial Office in Shenzhen. It has also hosted trade events with Houston, Dubai, Barcelona and Rio de Janeiro.

The China-Vietnam (Shenzhen-Haiphong) Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone — Shenzhen’s first overseas zone of its kind — has become a platform for local firms entering Vietnam and the broader Southeast Asian market.

From Dec. 16, 2025, to Jan. 4, 2026, Shenzhen-produced dance drama “Wing Chun” gave 20 performances in Toronto, marking the 10th anniversary of the two cities’ friendship and exchange relationship.

Cultural and people-to-people exchanges have deepened ties between Shenzhen and its partner cities. In May 2024, Shenzhen and San Francisco signed an MOU on friendship and exchange. A year later, they organized a youth exchange camp in Shenzhen, bringing young people from the San Francisco Bay Area to local schools.

“They easily find shared interests, and I can see their connections growing stronger,” said Taylor, one of the group’s leaders.

In 2025, the Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation partnered with local companies to launch the Green Tech Box project in Lomé, Togo. The project donated foldable, solar-powered prefabricated classrooms and smart teaching equipment to the University of Lomé, introducing local youth to Shenzhen’s green technologies and helping improve their skills.

Futian District has recently opened its Italian and Canadian friendship parks. The former showcases a traditional Italian garden in honor of its ties to Puglia, while the latter evokes a North American landscape inspired by Oakville, “The Oak City.”

Since the start of this year, several Shenzhen districts have expanded their international ties through friendship and exchange agreements with a diverse range of partners — Futian with Abu Dhabi Global Market, Yantian with Santos, Brazil, and Longhua with Kedah state, Malaysia.

These district-level partnerships have boosted exchanges in culture, investment and youth development. Nanshan District organized cultural activities with Tacoma, Washington. The Kedah State Greater Bay Area Investment and Cooperation Office opened at the Shenzhen Longhua International Cooperation Center, while Guangming District signed a memorandum on youth exchanges with Minsk State Linguistic University. These partnerships are creating new opportunities for economic cooperation while deepening people-to-people bonds.
